Weekly pool cleaning in Fort Lauderdale typically runs US$ 25 to 50 a visit, which comes to about US$ 100 to 200 a month. That is a typical range and not a closed price, and the estimate is free.
What decides the price
Two things decide where a pool lands inside that range: its size and the condition it is in. A larger body of water takes longer to brush, vacuum and balance, and a pool that has drifted takes more work to bring back than one that has been on a routine.
Because both of those are things we have to look at, the number comes from an estimate rather than from a table. The estimate is free and carries no obligation.
What the weekly price covers
The weekly price covers the whole visit, and the visit is the same list every week. The technician tests and corrects the water chemistry, brushes the walls and steps, vacuums the floor, nets the leaves off the surface, empties the skimmer basket and the pump basket, checks the filter pressure, checks that the pump is running, checks the water level, and cleans the edge tile including the waterline.
Three more things happen on every visit that have nothing to do with the water. The technician adjusts your automatic pool cleaner if you have one, reports anything abnormal in the pool or the equipment, and checks the gate is locked on the way out. You also get a photo of the pool after the visit.
The filter itself is washed once a month, not every week. What happens weekly is the filter pressure check in the list above.
The full item by item list is on the weekly pool cleaning page.
What is charged separately
Extra and emergency visits requested by the customer are charged separately from the weekly service. The weekly price covers the weekly visit.
The guarantee, and what it does not cover
The cleaning is guaranteed for one week, as long as all the equipment is working. It does not cover what the team does not control: rain and wind, leaves from the trees, the plants or a gardener nearby, water running in from a gutter or a patio that slopes toward the pool, heavy use such as a party or a dog in the water, sunscreen loading the filter, and a leak that forces the water to be topped up.
Getting a number for your pool
An estimate request is answered on the same day. Pools are serviced Monday to Saturday from 7am to 7pm, and the office answers Monday to Saturday from 8am to 8pm, with Sunday closed.
If the pool is at a home inside a condominium, that is covered; the shared community pool of a condominium is not. Request a free estimate and we will look at the pool and give you a number for it, whether you are in Fort Lauderdale or anywhere else across Broward County.
